Race Ready

I'm leaving today for Tucson, en route to Tempe to race Ironman Arizona on Sunday. I'm very much looking forward to laying it down with a hard effort to finish off the year.

Peace Out!

Baylor Pass 2009

The Baylor Pass Trail run is a 6 mile, mostly single track race that takes participants up and over the Organ Mountains. The race is four brutal miles to the top and two treacherous miles down the other side. This year, the "Montoya Mafia" was out in full force. Mike, Marlene and Misha toed the line, while I did my best to support/cheer/take pictures/drive :)

The motley crew before the start.

Mike on his way to 1st OVERALL and breaking the prestigious 50 min. mark!

Misha finishing up the single track trail, she crossed the line 2nd Female OVERALL and 1st AG.

Marlene looking strong at the end of an impressive 3rd AG!

Everyone proud of their hard earned and well deserved awards!!!

New addition!

Meet Koa! She's a Siberian Husky, German Shepard mix. As soon as Misha and I saw her at the pound, we knew she would make a perfect fit in our family. It did not take long for Jordi to warm up to her new sister! And, as evidence of the following picture, they've been playing with each other non-stop since we brought her home!
